Clark finished the game with 34 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds before a sold-out crowd.
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert called Clark the most transformational player in league history, noting that Fever games have averaged over 18,000 fans this season — more than some NBA franchises. Clark's record-breaking season has also driven a record $800 million media rights deal for the WNBA signed earlier this year.
The record achievement came in just her third professional season, which is unprecedented in WNBA history. Clark received a standing ovation and an on-court presentation during a timeout immediately after breaking the record in the third quarter.
